Last night, I dreamt I mourned my mother. Well, it wasn't my mother, and it may not have been me in the role of mourner. I did not recognize myself. My heart had broken as if from a drought. There were other mourners too and we mourned our mothers together. I felt this community of mourners and normal feelings and beautiful mothers and feelings of devastation. #mastoprompt #drought #microfiction @stevencudahy@mastodon.scot
